Compliance and Youth Protection Coordinator

Hannah Capello is now UConn's full-time Compliance and Youth Protection Coordinator, supporting the Minor Protection Program.


Hannah has been with UConn Human Resources since 2021 and has served as our interim part-time Compliance and Youth Protection Coordinator since March 2026. We are thrilled to welcome her to the team!

New Online Department of Children and Families (DCF) Reporting Portal

Paper form DCF-136 has been replaced by an online portal to submit reports of child abuse or neglect to DCF. 


Submitting this online report is one step within the reporting process.


Reminder: UConn and UConn Health employees are Mandated Reporters under state law and are legally required to report actual or suspected child abuse or neglect.

New Minor Protection Training

A fully updated and modernized Minor Protection Training is now available in the Learning @ Work/Saba system.


Be sure to share your feedback through the training evaluation so we can continue to make improvements.


Reminder: One of the requirements for Authorized Adults who oversee minors as part of a University-sponsored activity is to complete Minor Protection Training annually.

Training not required? Complete it for best practices.

Access our new training resource for programs that work with minors, but are not considered "University-sponsored activities" under the Minor Protection Policy.

New Minor Protection Activity Registration System

We are working with UConn I3 to develop a new registration and tracking system for University-sponsored activities and Authorized Adults. More information will be shared as the system becomes available within the next few months.
